Supporting education: successful mission in Nkambe
As part of its social initiatives to support the education of vulnerable children, a delegation from the Étoiles du Cameroun Association traveled to Nkambe, in the Northwest Region, to provide concrete support to orphaned children at risk of dropping out of school.
The delegation left Yaoundé on the night of Friday, February 8, 2026, and arrived in Nkambe on Saturday afternoon, despite the challenges posed by the distance and the local context. There, the association’s representatives met with mothers, the children receiving the support, and local leaders, in a spirit of listening, respect, and collaboration.
Thanks to the funds raised through the fundraising campaign, the school registration fees for 15 children were fully covered.
Furthermore, the acquired equipment allowed us to provide each of these children with a complete backpack containing essential school supplies, thus enabling them to begin or continue the school year in more dignified conditions.
This action marks an important step in the association’s commitment to the right to education, particularly in areas weakened by socio-political crises. It also demonstrates the concrete impact that solidarity can have when it is undertaken collectively.
The Étoiles du Cameroun Association warmly thanks all those who contributed, directly or indirectly, to the success of this mission. Other initiatives are underway to continue this commitment to vulnerable children and families.
