Supporting a family living on the street
Social support for a homeless family: acting for dignity
The Étoiles du Cameroun Association was recently alerted to the alarming situation of a young family living on the street with a small child. Without stable housing, without access to basic sanitation, and exposed to insecurity, the members of this family face extreme vulnerability.
Faced with this reality, the association has initiated a support program to assess their immediate needs for protection, hygiene, food, and temporary housing. The primary objective is to restore the dignity of this family by enabling them to leave the streets, particularly to ensure the safety and well-being of the child. Beyond the immediate emergency, this case raises questions about the social mechanisms of exclusion and the need for more structured support systems in terms of housing, reintegration, and prevention.
Étoiles du Cameroun appeals for solidarity from those who wish to contribute to this initiative. Material donations (clothing, food, hygiene products, mattresses, etc.), financial donations, and offers of social support (housing, integration, administrative assistance) are all welcome.
Human dignity should never be a privilege, but a right. Together, we can offer this family a chance to rebuild their lives.
